Announcements

Hey Guys, I'm William, but I'm better known online by my Minecraft username, PCOverdose, abbreviated as PC. I've been working on this fanfiction since around the beginning of November. I expect to be done around March or April. Hopefully sooner.

2/7/15 Hey Guys! Sorry about the lack of updates, for the few that are actually reading my blog. Let's just say I've been busy with school and Asian parents. I'll try finding free time to update the fanfic. Show me you want some more by commenting and showing me you're there! <3 Much love.

2/15/15 I'm going to start making separate entries for each chapter, so hopefully it'll be easier to navigate.

2/17/15 I've changed my blog from my previous URL. My other one was derping out.

2/18/15 Update: Okay, it turns out my other blog wasn't derping out, it was because of some weird stuff with the layout. (You try making a blog. It's not easy!) Anyways, I'm still keeping this one, since it'll take like 525,600 minutes to put back together. Also, I've made separate entries for each chapter! YAAAY!

2/20/15 Heads up, everything will be filed under the month February, just to maintain order, so you'll see me publish new chapters in other months, but they'll still be under February.

6/7/15 Hey. I've been really busy and I've kinda lost interest in writing this fanfiction, since nobody is actually reading this. I'm almost done with the story, but I see no point in finishing this unless someone wants me to. Sorry. This has almost turned into a diary. From the person reading in Ukraine, thank you my only reader. Comment in order to show that you want me to finish this story. :)

Beaconator Chapter 1

I woke up to a faint breeze, sounds of waves and the sound of a cow mooing. I opened my eyes and realized I was lying face down in sand. I stood up and looked around. Everything around me was made of... blocks? I realized I remembered nothing. I knew that I would have to find food and build a shelter to protect myself from the dangerous mobs at night. I wouldn't have to worry about water, since that wasn't a factor in Minecraft. I knew that getting wood was the most important thing to do. Basically, all I knew was Minecraft. Great. Off to a promising start. I punched the trunk of a tree and the block that I had punched popped and shrunk, levitating above the ground. The block flew to my waist, where I was wearing a... utility belt? Why hadn't I noticed it before? The wood flew to one of the pouches in the belt and was about the size of a gumdrop. I used the 2x2 grid in my belt to craft all my basic tools and necessities. I realized that I was absolutely famished. "Moooooo!" I saw a cow walk past me. As soon as I stabbed it, it gave a distressed cry. I stabbed it again and it vanished in a puff of smoke, leaving raw beef and leather behind. I killed some other animals, including a couple of sheep and pigs.

Beaconator Chapter 2

Even though I was starving, I didn't want to eat it raw, so I needed to either dig down or find a cave for stone. I decided to find a cave, and I found one a few minutes away. I mined 8 pieces of stone and crafted a furnace to cook the meat. It's funny how something used for warming up people's houses is used to cook stuff in Minecraft. I realized that the sun had started to set. It was too late to make a shelter, so I decided to stay in the cave for the night. I went down into the cave, finding coal and iron as I went. Before long, I realized I was lost. I decided to stay where I was and cook my iron ore. Once all my iron was smelted into ingots, I started crafting a chestplate; however before I could craft it, I heard a sudden hiss behind me. There was a sudden explosion and I was thrown into the wall.

Beaconator Chapter 3

I lay immobile for a while and finally got up. I realized I had become hungry again, even though I ate a few minutes ago. As soon as I finished my steak, I immediately began to feel better. However, as soon as the creeper exploded, it warned the other monsters of my presence and they began to walk towards me. I hurriedly dug into the wall of the cave and then barricaded the way in. I feel into a nervous jumpy sleep as I heard the moans of zombies.

End of Part 3

Beaconator Chapter 4

I suddenly woke up and realized I was still in the hole I dug. I mined my way out and realized that the hostiles weren't there anymore. I thought that if I stayed in the cave for much longer, more mobs would come and try to kill me. I decided to dig up until I reached the surface. I dug up a few blocks until suddenly 10 blocks of sand fell on me and started to suffocate me. I managed to dig the sand and then stacked up onto the surface. I realized I was on the beach that I had spawned on. I washed the sand grains out of my eyes and face in the ocean. I remembered that I had to build a house first, before doing anything else, since the same thing could happen again. I could place a block by flicking my hand with the tiny block, and the block would enlarge to full size again. By the time I finished my house, it was almost sunset. I knew that I needed a source of light, so I burned some wood inside the furnace to make charcoal to make a torch. I also crafted a sword and a chestplate to protect myself if I had to. The chestplate was a little clunky, and was hard to move around in, but it protected me from the dangers of the night. It was now night and I made a bed using the wool I had gotten from the sheep. I could finally sleep well tonight. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was fast asleep.

Beaconator Chapter 5

When have you ever woken up to sounds of burning zombies and skeletons? Probably never, unless you're someone like me, who lives in Minecraft. That was what startled me and caused me to jump up and break the wall with my sword. Yup. I'm great at this. Anyways, after I realized that the hostiles were outside, I felt embarrassed, as if something or someone was watching me. I just shrugged it off and went outside. I went into my cave and came back out just before sunset. I had forgotten completely about the incident that happened this morning. When I returned to my house. I felt something staring at me, but couldn't locate it. Who or what was observing me? It was already starting to get dark, but I couldn't let this rest, so I looked around for a source. I locked eyes on a tall tree right next to my house. Something or someone could hide inside the leaves and spy on me. I cautiously started to build up to the tree with my sword at the ready when suddenly someone from inside the tree shouted, "Stop! I mean no harm."

End of Part 5

Beaconator Chapter 6

By listening to the voice, I could tell it was a guy and was glad it wasn't a girl, since girls are very inexperienced at Minecraft and they can be a nuisance in general.
I shouted back to him, "Alright, I mean no harm either. Why don't you come inside my house to stay safe from the hostiles that reside in the night?"
He said, "Thank you!" He came down from the tree and walked with me to my house. "Do you have any food?" He asked, "I've been living off of rotten flesh."
"Yeah, sure." I tossed him a couple pieces of steak. Once he devoured all of the steak he put down a bed and fell asleep immediately. I tended the furnace adding more iron to smelt. I decided to leave the iron smelting and just stop for the night. I was just about to fall asleep when I remembered I forgot to ask the guy's name.

Beaconator Chapter 7

The next morning when I woke up, I realized the guy was gone, but had left his backpack here. I thought that he just went outside to kill some animals for food, but when he ran in here, on fire, I panicked. It took a few more seconds for the fire to go out.
"Are you alright?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's just that a zombie hit me while it was burning in the sun," He said, "I also got bitten by it." He started eating a steak to repair his wounds.
"What's your name by the way?" I asked, "Mine's PCOverdose. Just call me PC for short."
"It's..." He had to hesitate for a moment. "It's Aquabreez. Call me Aqua for short." He started to get a little unbalanced.
"I don't feel that well," He said. And then without warning, he fainted.

Beaconator Chapter 8

I managed to help him regain consciousness by feeding him and giving him some potions I found in his backpack. I decided to let him rest and come back after dusk, but when I came back, I was in shock to find that he had turned into a zombie! He started to come after me, but I realized I didn't have the heart to kill him. And besides, wasn't there a way to revive zombie-humans? I dug a 2x1 hole and trapped him there and promised to myself to revive him. I knew I had to go into the Nether to get potions to help my friend, so I used my diamonds that I had mined, to make a diamond pickaxe. Even with that, it took quite a while to get 14 pieces. I prepared myself by making a diamond sword and a full set of iron armor. I then built the portal and lit it. I then stepped in after a moment's hesitation and felt my heart pounding as I was teleported to the Nether.

Beaconator Chapter 9

As soon as I stepped in, a burst of hot air hit my face. It felt like the Sahara Desert in the summer in this place (not that I've been there). I took my surrounding in and realized I spawned on a cliff, right next to a nether fortress. I went down into the nether fortress to look for loot and most importantly; Nether Warts. Suddenly I was stabbed in the back. I wheeled around and threw my sword at the wither skeleton. I started withering, but stopped after a few seconds. I walked down the corridor of the fortress, not expecting what to come when I was full on hit by a blaze. I ran for my life and felt my body burning. I dug myself into a hole and hoped that it would go away. I ate my last steak and scolded myself for not bringing more. The steak only partially healed me, and for once, I was scared that I wouldn't make it out alive.

Beaconator Chapter 11

I dug a strip mine through the netherrack, hoping to get away and find the portal. After several tense hours, I found my way up to the portal and teleported back to the normal world. It was nighttime, and I was vulnerable, as I was only partially healed. I ran as fast as I could back to the house, while multiple hostiles pursued me. I got to my house a fraction of a second before the hostiles and slammed the door shut. I lay on my bed, injured and fell asleep. The next morning I woke up, I hardly remembered what happened yesterday. I remembered brief flashes of what happened in the Nether. First things first, I went outside and killed a few cows and threw the beef into the furnace. After it had finished cooking, I devoured almost half of them. I then went back into the Nether, prepared this time. I gathered some glowstone hanging on the top of the Nether and then stormed right into the Nether fortress always watching my back. I found several Nether warts and got a wither skeleton head from one of them. I then slayed a few blazes and then a ghast. I then ran back to the nether portal and went back into the overworld. I crafted a brewing stand, made water bottles and a fermented spider eye to make a potion of weakness. I then made 3 potions of regeneration and 3 potions of strength. I strengthened the potions of regeneration and strength by adding glowstone. I then added gunpowder to the potion of weakness to make it a splash potion. Finally, I crafted a golden apple. I was ready to heal my friend. I went to the hole in the cave that I had dug and threw the splash potion of weakness on him. According to my knowledge, bad effects gave hostiles gave them good effects, and vice versa, so I had to be careful. Finally I fed Aquabreez the golden apple. He was ready.

Beaconator Chapter 12

He started shuddering very violently and punched me from within the hole. My health decreased by almost half. I just told myself to stay away and watch from a distance, in case something went horribly wrong. After around a minute, he started morphing back into a human! I ran to him and brought him inside. He was in a very bad condition and I started feeding him steak and potions.
"Are you feeling better?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm feeling way better. Thanks for changing me back to human," he said.
"Don't mention it," I said.
"Have you heard about Earth?" He asked.
"Yes, isn't it a place where everything is, well, not made of blocks?" I asked.
"That's the general idea, but when I was a zombie, I had a vision that we're supposed to leave this world and go to Earth." He said.
"How exactly?" I asked.
"I'm not sure, but it's something involving a big black monster and a beacon," He said.
"Oh! Maybe we're supposed to slay the Wither!" I exclaimed.
"What's a Wither?" He asked.
"It's that big black creature you envisioned. I'm actually looking forward to killing one because I've never seen one," I said.
"You shouldn't be. It's even stronger than 5 ender dragons and a whole army of endermen. I saw them get obliterated by him. He shoots exploding skulls at you and some will come with a kind of poison effect, except it can kill you. Poison can't kill you. When you summon him, he will explode with the force of 20 creepers. It's any person's worst nightmare. It will rip your soul apart," He said darkly.

End of Part 12

Beaconator Chapter 13

"Obviously we're not ready," I said, "We're going to need to get some better armor and weaponry. We'll need bows, since the Wither stays high above the ground for 3/4ths of the fight. After that, we can kill it with our swords."
"Why don't you just go into the mineshaft and get some better gear? All you have is a leather tunic!" I said.
"Yeah, that'd probably be smart." He said.
Once he went down into the mine, I started crafted an enchanting table with the remaining diamonds I had left. I only had 2 remaining, which was enough to craft me a sword. I crafted a sword and then made an anvil. I only had a chestplate, so I crafted another full set of iron armor. I placed down the enchanting table, wondering what I was supposed to do. I then put my sword onto the table and the table gave me 3 enchantments to choose from. I chose a level one enchantment and recited what it said on the book. An orb from my belt flew out into the book. I realized I must have gotten the orbs from killing mobs. According to the book, my sword now had "sharpness one" which at a guess increases the amount of damage done. I did the same with my armor and got "Protection one". Both my armor and sword started glowing as if there was an aura around it. Little did I know, I had taken so much time, the sun had already set. Aqua hadn't come out of the mineshaft yet, and I was starting to wonder if something happened to him.
